Shaping Our Future Together
As NL Group continues to grow, we have refreshed our Vision, Mission, and Values to
reflect who we are today and where we’re going tomorrow. The culture we want to keep
building together is hopefully reflected in our values. Our values celebrate the care,
commitment and teamwork shown across our services every day, and help guide how
we support each other and the people we care for.
Building Our Team Together
Do you know someone who embodies the NL Group values and is passionate about a career in complex care?
We’re excited to share that our ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme will be launched over the coming months. This will give colleagues the opportunity to recommend people they feel would be a great fit for our team and who want to make a real difference in people’s lives.
As a thank you, successful referrals will be eligible for a referral reward. We’re currently finalising the details of this new scheme and will share a full update as soon as it is ready. Watch this space for more details!
In the meantime, if you know someone who would be a great fit for NL Group, we would love to hear from you. Simply send your referral to Recruitment (NLG) at recruitment@nlgroup.co.uk.
Helpful tips and Safety Reminders
Warm Weather Alerts
With the warmer weather here, it is worth keeping a few simple things in mind to help everyone stay as comfortable as possible; including the people we support. Wearing a hat, drinking plenty of fluids and taking time in the shade can make a real difference, especially during the hottest part of the day. Closing curtains or blinds when the sun is strongest can also help keep rooms cooler.
Moments of Care
Moments of Care truly is the best example of our team living our values every day.
It is always lovely to hear when the care and support we provide has made a real difference. Recent feedback has highlighted not only individual acts of kindness, but the teamwork, communication and shared commitment that help us deliver the highest quality of care every day. Moments of Care is where you can recognise colleagues who have gone above and beyond and where the people you support, and other colleagues, can recognise you too. Please feel free to pass on good news stories or positive feedback to Karen.townsend@nlgroup.co.uk.
Moments of Care in Action …
(Quarterly feedback taken from Nourish)
Following an ICB meeting and spot check, the parents of one person we support shared how happy their family member is with the care they receive. They spoke warmly about the regular care team, recognising the consistency and trust built through familiar faces working together to provide person-centred support.
Another family shared a lovely moment where a carer took the time to ask the person they support if they would like to go out for a walk. This thoughtful gesture reflects the wider team approach of noticing what matters to each person and creating positive, caring moments together.
A heartfelt thank you was also received from an Interim Team Manager for the continued support shown within one person’s care package. They recognised the team’s patience,
clear communication, and ongoing commitment throughout a challenging situation, showing the difference that strong teamwork can make.
