If someone in your family needs complex care at home, you are probably choosing between two or three providers, at a hard time, and you want to know one thing: are they a safe pair of hands. This page is here to reassure you and show how we care for adults with complex needs.
We look after adults whose needs are too complex for ordinary home care, in their own home rather than a hospital or a care home. That might be breathing support, a spinal or neurological condition, recovery after a brain injury, a learning disability or autism, or a mental health need. The care is led by our nurses and given by carers trained for it.

Most of complex care is the same skilled routine, day in and day out, done safely. What families remember is the rest of it: the small things a team who knows the person can do to help them live the life they want. That comes from having the same faces, not a rotating cast.
Every carer is carefully recruited, vetted, trained for the specialism and clinically supervised, around the clock. You will have a named coordinator who knows the package, so you are not starting again every time you call.
If you would like to talk it through, our care coordinators are the people to speak to. They will explain what happens next and answer the questions you cannot find answers to elsewhere.
